Logically Emotional;

Santana has been offered a full ride to the University of Kentucky as a part of their cheer leading program. However she wants to pursue a career as an actress by moving to New York City. Her mother wishes she would attend college, saying, "New York will be there after you graduate." Her mother also supports her in whatever she decides to do and is willing to financially support her until she makes it in New York. Santana being a logical person decides that her dream can be put on hold while she goes after her education.
Santana will receive a degree in something like communications or public relations. She will have qualities which future employers will admire and she will get a good job which will help her support her family. She will live comfortably and maybe even enjoy her lifestyle.
However, everyday she will wonder what her life would be like if she had chosen to go to NYC. She will never know whether she is talented enough to actually make it. She will be plagued with doubts and uncertainties. Santana will in the end regret her choice. It is better to fail trying to reach your dreams than to not pursue them at all.

Lovely to Meet You;

Love is security. When someone loves an individual that person knows that they always have someone in their corner. Someone will always be there to encourage and protect them despite their mistakes and flaws. People can go into the world feeling secure and protected knowing that people who loves them will be there to help and encourage them.
Love is understanding. People can rely on people who love them to be honest with them. They will tell the people they love their opinions of them in an acceptable way. They will also share their opinions on going-ons and social interactions so that that person can be better aware of what people deem acceptable or inappropriate. A person who someone is not particularly well associated with can not share these opinions without coming off as being out of line. Loving companions can make it known what is okay and what is a no-no.
Love is guidance. Without love a person cannot be their most full self. Love is needed to fill your heart. People who do not feel love head down dangerous paths. The world does not need anymore Hitlers, Bin Ladens, or Juarezes. The world would benefit from more Mother Theresas, Oprahs, or Vasis. These people are perfect examples of how love can send you in a good direction. Love is a cycle that effects the whole world.

Diss-tant Future;

One type of rejection people face is in the employment game. I know a woman who is trying get back into the workforce after a hiatus. She used to be a substitute teacher, but she gave that up when her husband was diagnosed with a very severe case of brain cancer. He passed away, leaving her with enough money to support herself and her college-age daughter for a few years. She has come to the point where she needs to start providing for herself again and is looking for work.
She has applied at many different places. She is willing to take anything but with the economy being what it is everyone is pressed to find work. She also has factors working against her. That period of time where she did not work is not looked to highly upon by potential employers. She is also of an age that people are not looking to hire.
After being rejected numerous times I'm sure she feels very low about herself. She believes that she is unwanted and not useful. In her situation she must also feel fear the she will be heading down a dangerous path soon. She most likely feels vulnerable and scared.
